My life behind a newspaper's camera

Bill started as a cadet photographer with The Age in 1969 and for the next 40 years had a colourful and multi-award winning career with his camera on many newspapers, from crime, sport, country life, politics, and arts to pictures celebrating the human moods and conditions. The National Gallery features nine of his portraits. His recent exhibition, “Last Night on Victoria Dock 1999” chronicles our Dockland’s final port era. This intro hardly touches the sides of his coming, fascinating talk to our club.
