Our October 14 speaker – Susan Bower.

After a career in nursing, our member Susan Bower became a Medical and General Researcher for TV series and films. She moved up to Script and Creative Producer on TV series,  working on  A Country Practice,  McLeod’s Daughters, Sea Patrol, Little Oberon, Neighbours and A Place to Call Home. She also worked on children’s series, cartoons, video games and several series that never saw the light of day. “It's tough and it’s fun”, she says. 

These days she continues to create and pitch TV Drama series ideas. “I teach aspiring writers to develop their own ideas into series, and that job pays for my holidays,” she says.  Will she tell all? “Some stories I can tell, others I don’t dare,” she says.
