We thought we'd seen everything during Covid but no.
When a member went to Rose Street, Essendon, to pick up a pair of specs, he noticed a sign at Benny's Cafe next door. The cafe was open but only serving coffees to people on the footpath.
The sign was offering FREE CAFE MEALS on Friday Sept 10 not just to regular patrons but to all their friends and in fact, everyone. They're mustering extra staff for what promised to be a busy day.
What an amazing initiative, and what great marketing. I'd say every free meal dispensed would create a regular customer for the future.
