From President ShaneOur June general meeting was well attended with more than 30 guests enjoying our two fabulous guest speakers -- Ali Sutton from Melbourne Dambusters BCS and Jamie Kelly from Think Pink organization, both talking about breast cancer from two different perspectives. Ali spoke about Dragon Boating and the benefits to survivors whilst inviting members for a complimentary paddle in a Dragon Boat
Jamie spoke about Think Pink and the free services they offer to assist women and their families after a breast cancer diagnosis.
Both organizations are located in the Docklands and are keen for our members to take advantage of two great local community programs.
I also had great pleasure in inducting Susan H-- as our latest member to join the club. Susan is already an active member, joining in with quite a few groups in the lead up to her induction. Welcome to our community, Susan!
Our July meeting will see wine expert Michael Hince speak on all things relating to a pleasure close to many of us, so please join us to learn all about your favourite glass of white or red!
