Hi Folks,
Winter is coming, so please take care to keep rugged up and stay warm, personally I’ve had my annual flu shot, so I’m good to go!
I really love to see our new members “seize the day” by getting involved in the numerous activities the club offers, and I believe it’s the best way to really get to know your fellow Bearbrassians!
Whilst on the subject of activities, if you are attending any of our regular groups, why not try a different event group this month? There is lot to be gained by diversifying your interests and you may meet some new and interesting people if you step outside the square!
A new group for me this month has been the sunday roast at the Montague Hotel, which is a new venue to me. Thanks to Spike I think we had nine in attendance who really enjoyed the hospitality and the company.
We have filled our Werribee Plant and Birdlife Tour coming up in June and look forward to the Toyota Hydrogen Education Centre event. Thanks to the coordinators of these events and to the enthusiastic participants who have booked their spots.
The recent Daylesford trip was a great success with plenty of feedback on the fun and friendship enjoyed over the weekend. Thanks to those Members who attended and to Jan S for your wonderful organization.
Please remember to try and attend our monthly general meetings for a couple of important reasons. Firstly, you will keep up with the latest happenings and enjoy catching up with fellow members and equally as important, a good-sized audience is always well appreciated by our monthly guest speakers.
It is very important for us all to start working on our committee positions for next year. If you would like to join the committee or learn more about the different roles, please let me know. The week prior to the general meetings sees the committee meet. If you would like to attend one of these, you are most welcome to come and see how the committee works.
The footy tipping competition is at the halfway mark, if you would like to know how your tips are going, check out the leaderboard on our Facebook page. Congratulations to John B our current leader, but can he hang onto that lead until the end of the season…watch this space!
