Maribyrnong River Walk

This month’s walk will be along the Maribyrnong River, passing Flemington Racecouse and finishing at The Boathouse cafe. Meet at 9:00. Enter Southern Cross Station from Collins St opposite the D14 tram stop. See attached photos showing meeting point on the UPPER LEVEL. A 6 minute train ride to South Kensington station. We will follow along the city/racecourse side of the Maribyrnong River to The Boathouse cafe. An easy flat walk of nearly 6 km. Just 250 m back to a Route 57 tram to Elizabeth St and Flinders St Station. Should the weather not be kind to us, I have a backup plan of a more sheltered walk along the Yarra to Herring Island.
