Sunday Lunch - 27^th April

The April Sunday lunch has been pushed back a week to avoid Easter Sunday, and will be in regional Victoria for a change of scenery.

Venue: Baringo Food & Wine Co, 283 Station Road, New Gisborne

Details: We have a booking for 20 people at the 12:00pm – 1:30pm sitting. We will need to vacate the dining room at 1.30pm as there is a second seating session. We can comfortably continue to socialise at the bar, café or outdoor area.

Transport

New Gisborne is a 45-minute drive up the Calder Freeway / M79, and there is abundant parking on site.

VLine trains stopping at Gisborne Railway Station in New Gisborne depart hourly on Sundays and it is a 48-minute trip. From the station it is a 5-minute walk to the venue. Suitable trains from Southern Cross Sation (SCS) on a Sunday are:

SCS: 10.06am – Gisborne: 10.54pm  [OR SCS: 11.06am – Gisborne: 11.54am]

For those intending to travel by train, I recommend that we catch the 10.06am train, which arrives in Gisborne at 10.54am. While bringing us to Gisborne earlier than absolutely necessary, it will enable us to be settled in the dining room by 11.30am, giving us 2 hours dining time. It will also allow for an opportunity for a stroll around New Gisborne or to buy a coffee in the Baringo Café.

Return trains to SCS leave Gisborne Station hourly: 1.29pm; 2.29pm;3.29pm 4.29pm

1. The booking is strictly limited to 20 people, so if you are interested, I suggest you register ASAP – click on the link below to register – remember to also click save. If you don’t receive an acknowledgement email almost immediately, you haven’t registered.
2. Train Travellers: If you intend catching the 10.06 am train from SCS,

• email me directly at catethompson90@gmail.com to let me know, so we can ‘keep an eye out for you’
• meet on the appropriate platform at 9.50am so we can travel as a group.

RSVP timeline

The venue needs final numbers by 18^th April. Bookings close at noon on 18^th April OR when 20 members have registered.

Final note

It won’t be possible to accommodate people who elect not to register but just walk up on the day as part of the Bearbrass booking.
