For the September hike, ten members of the hiking group enjoyed a 13km walk taking in a picturesque section of the Lilydale to Warburton rail trail.
Setting off in the early morning chill from Lilydale train station, the group walked to Mt Evelyn. After enjoying coffee and cake, the walk wound back to Lilydale via the Aqueduct trail, the Olinda Creek trail and the beautiful Lilydale lake. Swathed in glorious spring sunshine for the entire journey the day was completed with a pub lunch at the Olinda Creek Hotel before the return train trip to Melbourne. The outing was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
