To Maggie, music is every bit as important to her as food. It has been a constant part of her life since her early years and she takes every opportunity to bring music into her life: she is an opera lover, regular concertgoer and member of a choir.
For this special Morning Melodies program, Maggie will be joined by Orchestra Victoria to present a concert of pieces handpicked for their significance in her life, interwoven with conversation in which Maggie will share the stories behind their selection.

Susan (or her delegate) nominates a movie, cinema and screening time the week before. The cinema is frequently the Nova in Carlton, sometimes the Kino in Collins Street and infrequently Hoyts Docklands or somewhere further afield such as Elsternwick – it depends on what is showing where, and when. Movie goers buy their own tickets and meet at the cinema. Those interested in going on for dinner nearby are asked to advise the convenor of that in the notes field in the event invitation. |

A suitable stop for coffee is normally part of the walk. It is a good opportunity to get some exercise and have a chat at the same time. The actual destination will be advised with the invitation or earlier if available. |

The wine aficionados of Bearbrass Probus Club gather on the last Friday of the month to sample a collection of wines we may not have tried before. Apart from having as much fun as possible, the aim of each session is to taste a range of wines which we might not have considered buying previously - for whatever reason. After the tidy up, tasters may choose to go on for a cheap and cheerful dinner at a venue nearby, to be advised Cost for the tasting will be $25 per head and the group size will be capped at 12.
